Upper Nyack Riverside Kitchen Design

An Upper Nyack Victorian home with Hudson River views had a closed kitchen that couldn't see the water from anywhere in the room. We integrated a floor-to-ceiling glass addition and period-sensitive custom cabinetry to create a kitchen that makes the view the centerpiece.

The Challenge

Existing closed kitchen blocked the unobstructed Hudson River views that were the home's most valuable feature. The Victorian architecture required any addition to be architecturally consistent with the existing structure.

Our Solution

Floor-to-ceiling glass addition on the river-facing wall, period-sensitive custom cabinetry in a soft sage green with Calacatta countertops, and a river valley palette throughout. All structural and glass work permitted with Orangetown Building Department.
